Big Audience Reach

15 years ago, we decided not to rely on social media, Google Facebook or the likes of Instagram to deliver traffic for our content. Instead, we built out access to large direct audiences such as those that pour into JB Hi Fi or The Good Guys every day as these were consumers who had a credit card and were often looking for information and a third-party review of a product prior to making a purchase.

We started off delivering content to the hundreds of thousands who fly with Virgin and Qantas, we then struck deals with two of Australia's most successful retailers.

JB Hi-Fi’s target audience is a broad mix of consumers, including young, tech-savvy individuals and families looking for consumer electronics and home appliances. Described as Australia’s most successful retailer they have mass appeal across multiple age groups interested in the latest technology, including mobile phones, gaming consoles, and other gadgets.

They also sell products that we write about that appeal to families and those focused on outfitting their homes with appliances and other electronics.

With the growth of online shopping, JB Hi-Fi has over the years adapted to the changing retail landscape and expanded their online presence to capture a wider audience and now reach over 20,000,000 consumers a month via their web site where SmartHouse is exposed 52 weeks of the year.

We also push content to The Good Guys customer who are looking for information on appliance, wellness and PC and entertainment products.

Their audience is primarily families in particular female shoppers, and homeowners living in apartments. They sell a wide range of appliances and electronics at competitive prices and they appeal to a broad demographic through their focus on value, brand variety, and customer service.

The brand is known for offering competitive pricing and deals, attracting customers looking for the best value for their money as well as the satisfaction that they are dealing with a retailer they can trust.

Some call it public relations; we prefer to call it information marketing.

Today three things are key when it comes to getting sales or fixing a marketing problem via the use of information. Whether its information distributed to media companies, direct to consumers or organisations that can have influence over a Company and its products.

We can deliver the right messaging, cutting edge creative and environments where a message can be delivered that’s fitting of the brand.

Consumers need to trust a brand often before they buy a product.

With the team we have put together we can deliver innovative, cost-effective information marketing programs that deliver results for clients whether it’s through the use of the written word, video or other effective communication methods.

For 15 years we handled PR and information marketing for BMW. We launched BMW Magazine, along with several of its new vehicles including the M3 and the first X5. We also launched the BMW Art Cars project, working with Ken Done and Michael Jagamara Nelson, who painted an Australian version of the BMW Art Car.
We held this account for over 13 years and launched the first Shell Shops, along with Ultra - the first unleaded petrol n Australia. We also worked on protecting the Shell brand when environmentalists were attacking the Company over its investment in oil extraction in areas such as the Bass Strait.
The big Australian Company was looking for ways to sell more steel. We came up with the idea of launching the Canned Food Information Service. A promotion that told the story of the humble can, from the early days of Napoleon feeding his armies with canned food, to how canned food is fresher than fresh food. The program increased sales of canned food by 15 per cent.
Trying to sell a can of white paint that contains a splash of colour is a hard slog. So, we hired a psychologist to position Dulux as the experts in colour. This resulted in wall-to-wall national media exposure, after we revealed at a press conference that Australians are basically boring, with 85 per cent of all paint purchases being white, cream off grey, and a small amount of pink for girls’ rooms and blue for boys.
AAMI reaches a big audience. We worked with their PR and marketing team in development of a print publication that was sent to over 750,000 of their customers spanning car and home insurance. We also delivered PR across their various divisions.
We have worked with Sharp in various forms for over 30 years. We launched Sharp apliances, along with a variety of office equipment including copiers and fax machines. We also launched a series of TV’s and today we work with Tempo who have the rights to sell Sharp appliances and TV’s.
